Fascinated by photographs too often forgotten in shoe boxes or on digital clouds, Élisabeth Blanchet Burgot chose to give them new life by brightening them up with sprays of paint. Glued on wood, they become objects that she calls “Pollocks”, in homage to the artist Jackson POLLOCK, master of the Dripping technique (paint projections on a support). Born in 1970 in Caen, former maths teacher notably in London and Lomé, Elisabeth Blanchet Burgot is a photographer, author and videographer. She is interested in people and communities. His photographic work combines documentary and artistic. Through projects such as the Ceausescu orphans, post-war prefabricated houses, travelers and the Irish border, Élisabeth explores emotions, links between people, attachment and memory.
